Description
The photographer Michael Kenna sees with a Western perspective from his left eye and an Eastern perspective from his right. He is somebody who has made the perspective of each world his own. And, paradoxically, what he sees stereoscopically through this imperfect set of eyes is a reality called illusion.

As a photographer I try to live and work with the constant knowledge that nothing is the same twice. Our world is always changing. I am content, doing what I am doing, being a small part of the recording process. It has been, and continues to be, a great privilege for me to spend time in Japan and to have an ongoing conversation with this exquisite land.
